This is for you Coila
Well I got a call from my sister the other day threatening death upon me if I didn't create my own blog page. So here it is.
My name is Tara. I am married to a wonderful man named Larry and we have a beautiful baby boy named Wyatt!
Larry and I got married in on April 29, 2006. It was an amazing day. My mom and two sisters and my dad were all there. I was so excited!!! It was a beautiful ceremony. I will remember that day for the rest of my life.
About four months later Wyatt made his grand appearance! (Yes I was about 5 months pregnant when we got married!) August 18, 2006 was the best day of my life! During all of my ob appointments the doctors were afraid that Wyatt was too big. So they decided to induce me so that he didn't get any bigger. My mom flew in from Az to be there for me. We got to the hospital at about 8 in the morning. They kept telling me that it could take up to 3 days to work!! So we all just sat around talking. At around 4 they decided to let me take a bath in the jacuzzi tub! (I so want one for my bathroom!!!) Then at around 6 I was eating some dinner watching the Reba show when all of a sudden my water broke. I put my fork down and looked at my husband and calmly said "That would be my water breaking". It was so funny. Larry his mom and sister got up and looked like they didn't know what to do. Very much like the 3 stooges. It was very funny. They got the nurse and called my mom. She thought that it was funny that I waited until she got dinner to go into labor. That's when the pain began!! It was awful. It was basically one long contraction. Nothing helped. They tried to give me medicine to stop the contractions but it didn't work. They gave me Demerol. That worked for about 20 minutes. So finally they gave me an epidural. The kind I got was different than most. It was called a walking epidural. Instead of a constant flow of meds it was a one time deal. It helped me sleep for an hour or so. Finally by about 11 Dr. Swingle told me that Wyatt had not moved at all. His head was stuck. He was too far up to do anything. She told me that I was tired and Wyatt was too! So I had to have a c-section. At 12:15 Wyatt Christopher Harkema was born. I remember Larry kept asking me if he was supposed to be gray!! It was funny. Then I saw him. I cried and told him that I loved him.
Being a mom is the best feeling in the world. I remember thinking that I never thanked my mom. There is no love like a mothers love. I love you Mom!!! My mom ended up having to leave about 3 hours before Wyatt was born.
I love this little family of mine. I do miss my family in Az though. My sister had a baby boy in April and I wish that he and Wyatt could get to know each other. I miss my little brother that I always worry about. That's what big sisters are for right? My mom and dad are so funny I love them a lot. My sisters husband even though he teases me all the time. I miss my Dad in Iowa too. It hard being so far away from everyone! I just hope they all know how much I miss and love them!!!
We just moved so I don't know where my pictures are from the wedding and little Wyatt but as soon as I find them I will post them!!!

Pumpkin Patch
Lauretta and I decided to take Wyatt to pick out his very first pumpkin! So we went to the pumpkin patch. It is very cool. They have giant John Deeres, mazes to go through, HUGE pumpkins, and a large variety of pumpkins. Wyatt loved riding in the wagon to find a pumpkin. He had a lot of fun. He didnt want to go home. So here are some pictures from our trip to the pumpkin patch!!
